Title: Introduction to writing policy briefs

Description of the Event:

• This webinar will cover what policy briefs are, why they are important, and recommendations and resources on how to craft effective briefs. We will engage in breakout groups to put those principles into practice.
• Required pre-work:
  • For participants of the Uganda CLS: based on your experience in Uganda, think about key messages relevant to a) district-level and b) national level policy makers.
  • For other participants: think about an ongoing or past project that could be relevant for a policy brief, and who is your target audience.

Speaker:

• Lynsi Burton is the lead Communications expert at the U.S Center of the Stockholm Environment Institute, where she is in charge of editing research and policy publications, coordinating publicity, and writing feature stories about the research and work of SEI.
